Our client came to us looking to improve the layout of the existing property, create a new formal entrance, a larger kitchen which had access to the large garden and also provide a ground floor bedroom with ensuite and a much needed crafting room.

The proposals are to form an extension which wraps around the South-East corner of the building forming a new covered entrance and lobby which reconnects with the existing generous hallway.  The new large kitchen has views to the garden and opens onto a decked area.  The kitchen also leads to a spacious crafting room.  The existing kitchen is reconfigured to provide a bedroom with ensuite facilities.  The exterior will be clad in untreated larch defined with timber fins to add shadow and depth to the elevations.  There will be a flat sedum covered roof which will be visible from the first floor bedrooms.

The project successfully gained Planning permission in September 2024.  The project will now progress to Building Warrant stage.
