After some initial discussions to identify if we are a good fit for your project we will arrange a consultation, most likely at your home or site, to discuss your project further. At this stage we want to understand your aspirations for the project and what you are looking to achieve. We will discuss our role as architect and what we can bring to the project. We will also ask about your thoughts on budget and timescales. This will form the brief for the project which we will use to prepare our detailed Fee Proposal.
The fee proposal will outline the project brief, work to be undertaken at each stage and a breakdown of fees applicable to each stage. We will also detail the required Local Authority Statutory Fees and any additional Professional services necessary for the project (i.e Structural Engineer). We also send a link to the RIAS leaflet 'Why use a Chartered Architect'.
Following acceptance of our Fee Proposal we will issue an ASP/2018 Scottish Conditions of Appointment of an Architect fully detailing our appointment.
